Grant High School Computer Lab Contract

1. I will always show respect to the teacher, classmates and equipment and follow instructions given by the
teacher.
2. I will not eat or drink anything while in the computer lab.
3. I will be on time.
4. I will inform the teacher of any problems with my computer as soon as possible.
5. I will ask for permission to connect or disconnect items to the computer.
6. I will not get into another student’s files; change, copy or delete data.
7. I will not copy another student’s work and turn it in.
8. When the teacher asks for the entire classes attention “Can I please have your attention?” I will cease
from using the keyboard and mouse and give my attention to the teacher.
9. I will not switch the mouse, keyboard, monitor, CPU, chairs or workstations without teacher permission.
10. I will not change, remove or alter the desktop background, the screensaver, desktop icons or fonts.
11. In an effort to conserve paper and ink, I will proofread, spell check, edit and make all changes to my
work before printing.
12. I agree not to open and use any website on the Internet that is prohibited by PPS or my teacher.
13. I agree not to send, receive or read personal E-mail. (Unless given permission)
14. I will not add, delete or make changes to any programs that have been installed by the teacher.
15. I will not, at any time, sit at the teacher’s desk, get into the teacher’s desk, or use the teacher’s computer
without permission.
16. I will not remove textbooks and other learning materials from the classroom without the teacher’s
permission.

I have read and understand the above contract and I agree to these terms. I also understand and agree that if I
breach any part of the above contract, I will by subject to any number of the following consequences:
--Detention. Parents/guardians contacted.
--Referral.
--Teacher conference with parents/guardians.
--Request to Vice-Principal for removal from class.
