I would like you to research the following questions for your research:

 Who were the Loyalists and the Patriots?

 What were the reasons for the rebellion in the 13 colonies?
 How many Loyalists fled to Canada during the American Revolution?
 Where did Loyalists settle when they arrived in Canada?
 How did Loyalists live (food, houses, transportation, etc.)?
 What was the Constitutional Act of 1791 and what did it do for the Loyalists?

How to Present Your Research

You are going to create a 4-5 foot cut-out of an actual Loyalist in full dress. This will be the
backdrop to your display. Throughout the cut-out you will attach your piece of information
about the Loyalists. These will be hung outside my door.

How You Will Be Marked

Content = 20 Marks

+ Display = 10 Marks

Total = 30 Marks
