RE: Monthly Report

With the permission of Mrs. Ellington and Ms. Davidson, I took on the task of preparing the
media center’s monthly report for March. I would like to start by saying that the media center has been
extremely busy this month. There were 4, 521 circulations and twenty four classroom visits. The
computer lab located on the connections wing was utilized on seventeen days. The mobile laptops were
checked out to classrooms and/or used in the media center everyday during the month of March.

All of the new books received this month have been processed and are ready for check out.
Teachers and students have made suggestions for new materials. We are reading reviews and selecting
items from the items requested. We have photographed the Mathematicians of the Month for March.
Ms. Davidson conducted several classes on the Dewey Decimal system and Galileo. All teachers have
been provided a copy of overdue fines. During their visits to the media center, students are being
reminded that they cannot participate in field day activities until all fines are cleared.

The monthly newsletter is complete and has been e-mailed for your approval. We are in the
process of preparing for the book fair which will be held April 25-May 2. Teen Read Week is right around
the corner, and we have several fun events planned.

We are extremely excited about the new Netbooks that we will be receiving courtesy of PTO.
We anticipate receiving them upon our return from Spring Break and hope to have them available for
student use immediately after CRCT.
