Learning Objective: 2.1: Analyzing the classes of food.

Learning Outcomes: By the end of the lesson, the students should be able to:

1. Explain through examples the classes of food

2. State the function of each class of food

Learning Activities: 1. Teacher will show a few examples of food.


Students will be asked to state the importance of food

2. Discussion on classes of food; carbohydrates,


proteins, fats, vitamins, minerals, dietary fibre and water
and state their functions

3. By the end of the lesson, students will be asked to state the classes
of food and their functions

Scientific Skills: Grouping and classifying, generating ideas, observing

Scientific Attitude and Noble Values: Being objective
