OUR LIVES

08: WE COME FROM A CHURCH... LIKE YOURS.

We are not strangers, but members of the same Fellowship. We represent you.
God called us out of your Fellowship—many of us were church leaders or university students; many were pastors.
In other words, the next generation of missionaries are currently sitting in the pews of your church, or fellowshipping
with you at District events. We emerged from the local church, are partners with the local church, and are sent out
from the local church to take the Gospel to places beyond the reach of the local church.

On behalf of your church, we have picked up our families and moved to the other side of the world, often a lonely
place filled with great sacrifice. Knowing we are sent by your church, loved by your church, and received joyfully by
your church, honors Christ and makes the system work.

Please don’t resent our contacting you, or our polite and open appeals for help. As a pastor, empathize with our
situation and, together let’s advance the Kingdom of God when on your church campus.
