Capacitance: According to the routine test protocols are 27 TSC - cans with C > 21µF bzw.
40 with C > 20.95µF available. With this units would be with s=1 and p=10 a
capacitance of 210µF possible.
Voltage: Operation with Filter+TCR results in a can voltage of 11,5 - 12,8 kV. That is
between 1.5 and 12.8% higher than the rated voltage of the TSC can.
Transient voltg.: The transient voltage for the TSC can is with 58.9kV / 2 = 29.45kV significantly
lower as the transient voltage for the filter can with 51.5 / 46.8 / 33.0kV at MF /
DC / EN. The test voltage of the TSC can is with 48.8kV DC also smaller than the
test voltage of the filter can of 57.49 kV DC. However it is not necessary to take
misfiring into consideration because the TSC is out of service.For energisation
and DC - trapped current is the transient voltage below the test voltage.
Summary: It is possible to built up a filter 1 with the capacitor cans from the TSC (s=1,
p=10).
The transient voltages during energisation and DC trapped current are below the
test voltages.
The voltages and currents during normal operation areabove the rated values of
the TSC cans. According to IEC it is possible to exceed the rated values within in
certain limits for a limited period of time. But it must be confirmed by the
manufacturer if we are in this case still in the acceptable limits.
