Literature Review

The topic for my Action Research is to find a solution for media specialist to use

to find out about series books for their collection. Currently media specialists have to

look at multiple websites to find out when new books are coming out in a series. This is

time consuming for the media specialist and not very efficient. To enhance students’

recreational reading, it is important for the media to have books added to the collection in

a timely manner. By engaging students in the process of updating the collection, they

become more invested in it. My literature research was focused on finding different types

of technology collaboration media specialists were using. I found that there are quite a

few recent articles specifically for media specialists encouraging them to become digital

learners and teachers in order to make their libraries more efficient and engaging.
