TASK 1: Read through your mock.
Answer the following questions:

1. How effectively did you use the time?

2. Is there any part that is a waste of time
and won’t gain you marks?
3. Did you answer the questions?

TASK 2: You are going to need to be in pairs. Give your
mock exam to your peer. You will need to carefully read
each other’s work. As you do, highlight any use of the
following:
• Analysis and explanation
• Use of examples (relevant and appropriate)
• Link to case study knowledge and research
• Terminology (accurate and fluent)
• Structure and quality of writing (e.g PEE and covered
all 4 key areas for both sections)
Now, using the mark scheme, what do you suggest your
peer needs to improve and revise?

TASK 3: Now make a list, a useful one, that
you will understand and revisit before your
exam. It needs to contain all of the areas
you would like to work on and revise e.g.
“I need to practice the PEE structure,
particularly using relevant textual
examples” or “I need to revise editing
techniques and how to link them to
representations” or “I need to make a
better argument in section B, not just
describe the 4 stages of the film industry”
