Category Sales Analysis

1. Intro
Category Management is often (but not always) done on a project basis when a retailer asks one or several consumer
products manufacturers for an analysis of Point of Service (POS) data. Part of this project is then Promotion Analysis.
Some companies also have Category Management implemented on a more regular basis, in particular if they serve as
Category Captains.
An essential part of both is the analysis of the account’s POS data.
