PERSONAL PROFILE: Ang Jiak Heong ( Ron ) was born 1st Dec 1980
in Singapore. He obtained his diploma in Digital Media Design at
Nanyang Polytechnic in 2000,and went on to National Service where he
served as a Military Policeman,current rank 3rd Sergant.He took up a
course studying Maya, and is currently working as a game artist in NYP,
School of Interactive and Digital Media

PRESENT POSTION:

Primary role: - Game artist

Specific responsibility: - Producing game assets


both 2D and 3D for the company

SKILLS: knowledgeable in producing 3D low poly game


assets,modelling and texturing.

Date:2001 Internship at Bizarts


Worked on a project for the SAF Airforce,
designing and modeling several different planes
and missiles, including choreographing and
animating a missile strike scene.

Worked on a fly thru for various stations of the


now completed NEL MRT.

Worked on a fly-thru of Changi Prision’s proposed


design

Worked on a variety of freelance projects
including the production of a stage for an
aeroplane action game commissioned by a
independent games producer.

Worked at TCS (Television Corporation of
Singapore ) as a Broadcast artist, producing title
slides for a sports program named Sportscity.

Created and managed the logistical as well as
artistic direction of military vehicles for a military
project commissioned by the SAF ( Singapore
Armed Forces ).These include creating and
sourcing for reference materials for the
vehicles,as well as their level of detail,damage
states,as well as IR signature,for each
vehicle,numbering about 178 Vehicles.

Modelled a hi res character for use in a football
themed animation for Intense animation Studios.

2007 Game artist ( gameLAB, Nanyang Technological

Created an animation that was featured in a NDA-
test demo of a network rendering solution.

Created various marketing assets for the lab


including posters,namecards and brocedures.

Worked on and designed modelling assets for a


Trust fund project game developed for KK hospital
that was featured in the newspaper.

Worked on Bumbleland,creating the main


character as well as forming the terrain.

Modelled and textured a Coliseum for Virtual


Orchestra featured on the OSG website,as well as
further graphical requirements for the completion
of the game.Virtual Orchestra is a game that
incorporates mulit-disciplinary technologies such
as pattern recognition,3D graphics and artificial
intelligence to allow gamers to conduct a virtual
orchestra as the conductor.

Created and designed the graphics and game


mechanics for Mazilla,an in-house game project.

Created artwork for a National Archives historical


game.

game trailer; Project Eve. Came up with the story


concept, and concept art for all characters as well
as the background matte paintings.Modelling work
for some of the characters involving traditional
polygon modelling and zbrush touchups.

Currently teaching Introduction to 3D, a course


that introduces students to the concept of 3D, and
familiarises them with Autodesk Maya.

Currently teaching Zbrush 3.1, introducing


students to sculpting and Zspheres within Zbrush
as well as modelling and basic anatomical
concepts, common workflow concepts, and the
creation of normal and displacement maps.

Taught basic image modding for the Warcraft 3


editor.

Helped came up with the course outline for the


special certificate course, a part time course
conducted by SIDM to teach working
professionals about game asset creation.

Team manager, reference liaising with SGP,


texture and modelling artist for Marina Bay Street
Circuit, NYP ‘s simulation of the Singapore Grand
Prix Night race. Managed a team of 15 staff and
students to complete a day and night version of
the race circuit.
