The previous lesson was about Gagne’s types of learning.

The first five of them are

based on Behaviorism and the last three of them are reletad to cognitivsm. All of them
is important that it gives us some clues about teaching. Moreover, we talked about the
importance of transfer, interference and overgeneralization. There are two types of
transfer, positive and negative. Positive transfer occurs when the previous knowledge
supports the learning tasks; however, negative transfer occurs when the previous
knowledge disrupts the perfomance of the next task. Interference means transmission
of the L1 to L2 or vice verse incorrectly. The previous item is incorrectly transferred.
Overgeneralization is the incorrect application of previously learned second language
material to a present second language context. What I had difficulty in nothing. I
belive I may use Gagne’s concept learning, principle learning, verbal association and
problem solving by forcing my students to think to solve problems, drifting them to
use the way of pace, pace, pace and reaching the answers in experienced way. I can
push them to involve in learning actively with role play or group works.
