throughout the period of this work till this time. May his holy name be praised.
Particular gratitude goes to my mother who generously shared her ideas, time
and finances with me to make sure this research work was carried out successfully.
I am equally indebted to my friends who rallied round me during the course of
this work, ranging from sourcing materials, typing and proof reading. They were
really there for me. I also owe an intellectual debt of knowledge to my lecturers who
taught me with patience, tolerance and understanding. They supervised proofread and
