Promote Tourism through Miss Coffee Indonesia

Foundation in Indonesia, named Yayasan Indonesia Kebanggaanku, and Directorate General of Marketing, Ministry of Tourism and Culture, will hold Miss Coffee Indonesia 2011 contest on April 15th 18th, 2011 in Jakarta. The grandfinal of this contest will take place on April 18th 2011 in Hotel Mulia. According to its organizers, each of 14 provinces from all over Indonesia sends 2 finalists for this first Miss Coffee Indonesia contest. Those provinces are DI Aceh, North Sumatra, West Sumatra, South Sumatra, Lampung, DKI Jakarta, Central Java, East Java, DI Yogyakarta, Bali, West Nusa Tenggara, East Nusa Tenggara, South Sulawesi, and Papua. Later, the winner of this contest will represent Indonesia in World Queen of Coffee contest, which is annual event in Colombia, South of America. Director General of Marketing for Ministry of Tourism and Culture, Dr. Sapta Nirwandar, said that Indonesia is the fourth largest producers after Brazil, Vietnam, and Columbia. Indonesia has competitive advantage by producing many kinds of Arabica coffee and Robust coffee with high quality. Indonesian Luwak coffee, known as Civet coffee, has been known in all over the world as the most expensive coffee. Through promotion and cooperation with other countries, Indonesia is hoped to become the worlds largest coffee producer. Miss Coffee Indonesia 2011 contest will be the right promotion tool for Indonesias various best coffee products as well as Indonesia tourism to all over the world. said Sapta Nirwandar, accompanied by Rudy Persik, in press conference of Miss Coffee Indonesia 2011 at Sapta Pesona Building, Jakarta, Friday (4/3). Rudy Persik is the on of entrepreneurs in coffee. Arranging Miss Coffee Indonesia contest might build public awareness about coffee that can be one of tools to promote Indonesia, and support the growth of domestic coffee industry.
