Q-431 REACTION PAPER

August 29, 2009 is our Educational Tour. We went to Kidney Center, Asian Hospital and BCDA. First stop, the Kidney Center. Even though you see ill patients and the smell of the building is not good, still their employees are all kind and they are approachable. They welcome us, smile to us and greet us even though they are busy. We saw the whole kidney center and their expensive machines. They also thought us on how they operate patient if their brain is damage and if they have stone on their kidney. They let us saw their operation actually and thought us what the patient suffering is and how the computer let them see every little thing of the patient body has. They also let us touch the long tube which we able to see the actual insertion of the rectal tube to the anal of the patient. After they insert the tube and the medicine using the rectal tube directly to the anal, they scan the patient using the CT scan and we saw the inner body of the patient in the computer. We learned many things here in the kidney center. Then our second stop is in the Asian Hospital. This hospital is not like the other hospital especially in their ambiance. It s much looks like a hotel set up not a hospital set up. They have their own saloon and when you enter here, you will never smell the usual smell of the hospital. The best part here is that they let us saw the Presidential Suite, which is so beautiful like the hotels room. Sad part is that we are not entertained well and we only saw babies and some of their delivery rooms for giving birth. Other than that only the door and the facilities is all we saw. Last stop is in the Bases Conversion and Development Authority (BCDA). Most entertaining company we have been at that day. They let us in to their conference room and present us a brief report on what is their company is doing. They present a power point addressed to us. BCDA is mandated to transform US military bases into alternative civilian use
