UNE166002: pilot experience in Europe

AENOR (Spanish Standardization Body) issued in 2.002 a family of standards (UNE166000) for the sistematization of the management of R&D and innovation. UNE166002 is the standard devoted to Management Systems of R&D and innovation. More than 280 Spanish organizations certified since 2.002, mainly companies. Extension at international level: Portugal since 2.007 (NP4457) and a Tech. Committee at CEN (CEN/TC 389) for a European standard in the near future.

UNE166002: the systematics

UNE 166002 fully alligned with ISO9001 (same principles, common requirements, specific requirements for innovation) UNE166002 as a Management System allows to manage and to measure the innovation process in the organization. UNE166002, acredited scheme: homogeneous criteria, benchmarking between organizations. A reference for the assessment of R&D and innovation capacities of a company.
