1. Asgirlsarrive,havethemjoinformacircle.Whilewaitingtostart,girlscanexplorepages 49oftheGirlssideoftheirbooks.AsagrouplinkarmsorholdhandsandrecitetheGirl ScoutPromiseandtheGirlScoutLaw. 2. Haveeachgirltaketurnsintroducingherselfandnamingtheirfavoritestoryaboutpeople fromanothercountryorculture. 3. IntroducetheJourney.OnthisJourney,GirlScoutBrownieslearnaboutthelivesofgirlsall over the world through stories. Then they get creativethrough a medium of their choiceandtelltheirstoryofwhattheyaccomplished. 4. IntroducetheJourneysAwards.TheJourneyAwardhasfourparts: Let the girls know that on this Journey they will have a chance to earn three Story AwardsasleadersinGirlScouts:TheHearaStoryAward,TheChangeaStoryAward,and theTellaStoryAward.TheFourthawardtheyearnistheBetterWorldforGirls!Award. 1. Explaintothegirls:Apassportisalittlebooklet,muchlikeabigticket,thatletsyougo places around the world. Each time you go to a new place, you get your passport stamped with the name of the place you visited. So, with those stamps in it, your passporttellsthestoryofyourtravels.YourTeampassportisgoingtotellthestoryof thisGirlScoutJourneywearetakingtogether! 2. PassoutthepassportpaperandinvitethegirlstousetheirimaginationstocreateaTeam passport. Point the girls to Pages 3840 of the Girls side of their book which includes PassportpagesthatgivetheBrowniesaplacetotrackalltheydotoearntheirawards thesepagescanhelpjumpstarttheircreativity. 3. ThePassportdoesntneedtolooklikeapassportatall.Theycanmakeabooklet(likea realpassport)orcreatepanelsforeachstopalongthewayandjointhemtogetherasthe journeyprogresseswhatevertheychoose.Iftheychoosetomakepanels,theymightbe titledandnumbered,likechaptersinastorybookorpanelsinacomicstrip. 4. All Around the World, girls love to play games, especially games where they can move around. Playing games together is a way to get to know others, and active games help you stay healthyandfit. Playinggamesfromaroundthewould,helpsyouseewhatgirlsinotherplacesliketodo.

Afterthegirlsplayeachgame,askthemhowtheylikedit.Youmayalsoaskifthegirlscan tell you how they are like games they already playand how they are different.
