Oxfam's vision:
All people in Vietnam, especially

WOMEN

are empowered to pursue development opportunities which address all forms of

poverty and injustice.

Strategic Change Goals

RURAL LIVELIHOODS
Improved livelihoods, reduced vulnerability and increased adaptability to disasters and climate change as part of sustainable livelihoods for the rural poor, particularly for ethnic minorities and women.

URBAN LIVELIHOODS
Improved livelihoods of migrant workers, especially migrant women, in informal and formal sectors in urban areas.
5

RIGHTS IN CRISIS
Assured protection and assistance for all women and men in humanitarian crises, regardless of who or where they are or how they are affected, in a manner consistent with their human rights.
6

GENDER AND DIVERSITY

Women gain more control over their own life, increase their economic and political power and gain more space (public and private) to express their voice and claim their rights. Socially excluded people gain more space (public and private) to express their voice freely and obtain better recognition of their identity and get their rights respected. 7

GOVERNANCE AND ACCOUNTABILITY

Empowered community and civil society to take part in public policy, local development and social and economic development of the country, with increased access to justice and strengthened rule of law. The capacities of government bodies as agents of change will be strengthened to ensure good governance. 8
