The layout of the BTS3900A is as shown in the picture. The APM30 and RF cabinet should be near to the cable ladder. Two battery cabinet should stack.

The plinth
The BTS should be installed on the steel rack or concrete plinth For the steel rack, use the bolt and nut to fix the base frame of cabinet. For the concrete plinth, use the expansion blot to fix the base frame.

Install the base
Fix the base to the plinth and check the levelness with level bar, if the level bar is not in the middle, use the adjusting pad to adjust the levelness 2 base need to be installed, one is for BTS3900A, one is for battery cabinet

Install the cabinet
Push the cabinet so that the cabinet can be in full contact with the installation block Use two bolts to fix the cabinet to the base

Install the component

PMU BBU

Special handle is needed to remove the DRFU
Install the BBU, DRFU, PMU and PSU to the cabinet as shown in the picture. The BBU should be close to the PDU panel, without space between PDU and BBU

Connect the DC cable for BBU and DRFU

Connector to UPEU on BBU DC power cable for DRFU
Connect the DC cable to the Load5 of the PDU with OT terminal. Blue cable as 48v, and black as 0 V. Connect the power terminal to the UPEU card on BBU. Connect the power cable to the corresponding DRFU, 6 cables to 6 DRFU. The other end is already connected.

Install the CPRI cable for DRFU

CPRI cable
Connect the CPRI cable between the GTMU and DRFU, the 6 ports on GTMU should be connected to the corresponding DRFU. The port on DRFU should be port0 The CPRI cable route should be at left side of the cabinet, as show in the picture
Install E1 cable

There are two E1 cable, one is between GTMU and UELP, the other is from UELP to MW The cable between GTMU and UELP is already made.

Upper 6 jumper to be installed Usually, the lower 6 jumper is not needed

Usually, one cabinet has 6 jumpers, please refer to the picture for the jumper and RF cable connection. One end of the jumper is straight DIN connector, the other end (BTS side) is right angle DIN connector. The connectors need to be made on site. The configuration of the cell is as showing in the picture:S2, S2 PBT, S3, S4

Step1:Install the lower cabinet and remove the cover Step2:Install the wiring cover to the lower cabinet Step3:Seal the wiring cover with mud. Step4:Install the upper cabinet on top of the lower cabinet, fasten the upper cabinet with 4 bolts.

Install the battery

Install the DC cable to APM30 Install the DC cable between upper and lower battery

Use the black DC cable as 48V, and red DC cable as 0V. 2 battery banks to be installed in each cabinet. Attention! Switch off the battery breaker in battery cabinet and APM30 when installing Battery terminal the battery!
Install the grounding cable
ECB inside the cabinet Install the PGND cable from APM30 to ECB Install another 2 pcs of equipotential cable from APM30 to upper battery cabinet and lower battery cabinet
Connect the AC input cable

Install the 4 x 4mm^2 armored cable to the terminal of PDU, L1,L2,L3,N: brown, black, grey, blue. When 3 phase power is used, the short circuit bar should be removed; when single phase power is used, install the short circuit bar. AC power cable should be protected in the GI pipe , and the armor of the cable should be grounded with the hose clip
Lay the AC power cable

Dig a channel between meter cubicle and plinth. Lay the AC power cable with the protection of GI pipe. Flexible GI pipe should be used as bend. The armor of the AC cable need to be grounded. Ground the GI pipe with M8 x 25mm bolt & nut, using 25mm^2 grounding cable Bury the pipe

Install the SPD for BTS
Install the SPD box on the meter cubicle, the SPD should be grounded.

One end of the cable(04080029) is to MON1 port of BBU, another end need to be cut and connect the wire to the panel of APMI (TX- TX+,RX- RX+), The connection is as shown in the table.
Install battery sensor cable
One end of the battery sensor cable is already connected to the APMI card BAT_TEM1 port, so connect the other end to one cell of the battery.
Connect the door sensor cable

Connect the door sensors of the two battery cabinets and the APM30 as red line shown in the picture Connect the sensor cable to the socket of the prior door sensor, so the connection of the 3 door sensors are serial

Ground the feeder cable according to the standard in the picture Antenna azimuth and down tilt should follow the design file strictly. All the jumper connectors are waterproofed well. The feeders are arranged neatly, the feeder and jumper labels are attached neatly and oriented in the same direction. Use feeder clamp to fix the feeder each meter.

Installation check key point

Check the grounding cable of cabinets, SPD, Gi pipe, AC power cable, feeder. Check the water proof of the feeder and antenna connector. Check AC and DC power cable color code, complied with the standard. The cable should be tied neatly. Keep redundancy when cutting the cable tie. Antenna height, azimuth and down tilt should follow the design file strictly. The signal cable and battery cable outside the cabinet should be protected with PVC flexible pipe. All the cables should be labeled with the label provided. Bring back the rest of the materials and clean the sites after installation.

Power on the cabinet

Step1:Switch off all the AC and DC breaker Step2:Power on the AC input breaker, check the indicator of the PMU and PSU, For PMU, if RUN is 1s on and 1s off, and ALARM is off, it mean the module is working normally For PSU, if the is on, and is off, it means the module is working normally
Step3:Use the multimeter to measure the DC output voltage, the normal range should be -38.4V to -57V. Step4:Switch on the DC output breaker for the related module, switch on the DC output breaker on the DCDU
Commission the BTS

LIU1
Connect the E1 cable to MW, check the indicator LIU1 on the GTMU, if its always off, it means the E1 is normal. After the BTS is on air, make some test call, check the cell broadcast service and GPRS service. The following alarm need to be checked on site: Door alarm of all the 4 cabinets Water sensor of the cabinet Temperature and Humidity Battery sensor Mains failure and PSU failure
