Nowadays, there are many problems related to schoolchildren, from smoking to skipping classes to gangsterism. School bullies have and will always cause problems, and should be addressed seriously as we seem to hear more of such cases in recent years, with the incidents getting more and more violent. There was one involving a schoolboy who died after being assaulte d by several schoolmates. This is not what we want for our teenagers They are the ones whom we are counting on to become good future leaders. Some parents blame it on teachers because they think they have sent their children to school and the cikgu are responsible for educating the young ones. Parents as guardians should not point fingers when their children are caught misbehaving. When teachers start to punish the students, some parents would march in to complain to the principal or the teacher, some with threats of court or even physical action. As such, parents must take part of the blame for this moral and religious decay among the young. Their upbringing plays a very important role in the way they handle themselves socially. If they learn hatred at home, that's what they will br ing with them to school. To curb these social ills, parents, educators and society atlarge should be aware of what is going on with our youths. Though there are various psychological and physical factors that could cause a person to choose to become a gangster, everyone should work together with the school to educate the children instead of pointing fingers and doing nothing.
