Setting the IP Address of the Site Maintenance Terminal PC

 

Procedure To set the IP address of the PC, perform the following steps: Choose Start> Setting > Control Panel. Double-click Network Connections in the displayed Control Panel window. Right-click Local Area Connection in the displayed dialog box. Choose Properties from the shortcut menu. The Local Area Connection Properties dialog box is displayed. Select Internet Protocol (TCP/IP), and click Properties. The Internet Protocol (TCP/IP) Properties dialog box is displayed. Select Use the following IP address. Enter the correct IP address, subnet mask. (192.168.0.71 or other in the same segment) Ensure that the IP address of the SMT PC is in the same network segment as the IP addresses (192.168.0.72/255.255.255.0) of the BTS so that a maintenance channel on the BTS side can be established. Click OK to complete the settings. All rights reserved

On the SMT, click Site in the navigation tree, and then double-click Forced Software Load in the Function pane on the right,

In the displayed Software Download dialog box, set the associated parameters
> > > > File Name: Specify the path and name of the target software package required for the upgrade. Send Window Size: 200 Version: Type V100R009C00SP72 in the lower box. File ID: Select GTMU_MAIN from the drop-down list.

 

Click Start. When the progress bar displays "100%" in the lower corner and the status bar displays "Loading Software Successfully", click Close

On the SMT, click Site in the navigation tree, and then double-click Software Activation under Function.

> Version: Type V100R009C00SP72 in the lower box. > File ID: Select GTMU_MAIN from the drop-down list. > Board No.: You are not required to set this parameter.
 Click OK..  When the status bar displays "Activation is confirmed and the Site will

be reset in a few minutes", click Close.

Verify that the software is loaded correctly: > close and restart BTSM Click Board in the navigation tree, and then double-click Board Management in the Function pane on the right In the displayed Board Management window, right-click the GTMU and then choose Board Information from the shortcut menu.
