TravelCLICK Implementation Form o Property Information This section has the basic information about your hotel concerning: name,
address, currency, time zone, etc. This section can be completed by the Revenue Manager, Reservation Manager or Front Office Manager.
o Contact Information This section covers the individual contact people at your hotel. The Primary
Contact should be the day to day user for the iHotelier platform.
o Languages This section details the languages you would like to have available for your hotel. You
should give special thought to your customer base and which languages will best serve their needs. This section should be completed by the Revenue Team.
o Hotel Description This section is your virtual brochure for potential customers. This section should be
completed by your Director of Sales and/or Director of Marketing.
o Directions This section provides basic directions to your hotel from multiple different geographic map
points. These should be simple and clear to understand and should stick to major thoroughfares rather than local shortcuts. Someone familiar with the area should complete this section.
o Property Amenities This section references amenities that are available at the property level as
opposed to the room type level. The section should be completed by the Revenue Team.
o Hotel Policies/Guarantee Policy/Cancellation Policy This covers deposit and/or guarantee policies
for your hotel. It will allow you to select a standard/default policy that encompasses most of your normal business patterns as well as individual time frames where your policies might need to be more/less restrictive based upon the nature of the business. It is best to make sure that your policies closely match those of your competitors. Needlessly restrictive policies can drive business away from your hotel to competitors. This section needs to be completed by your Revenue Team.
o Terms & Conditions As a standard, we will include check-in & check-out times, cancellation policy and
either deposit or guarantee policy. You will need to complete any additional text that you wish to include. There are examples on the page for this section. This section should be completed by the Revenue Team.

Casa Colombo is a 12 suite Retro-chic hotel that blends a contemporary designer style with the charms of a magnificent 200 year old Moorish mansion. Built by one of the wealthiest Indian trading families at the time, the mansion is adorned with acres of Italian and Indian mosaic floors, carved arches, molded ceilings and Moorish styled balconies, and is one of the few remaining treasures of its era. A significant part of creating this hotel involved restoring the building back to its former grandeur. Located in Bambalapitiya in Colombo 4, it is in the heart of Colombos business district, however as its neatly cosseted away from the busy Galle road by its own cul de sac, it is a gated and very private hotel. Each of its suites are unique as rooms were created from within a house, and therefore, no two suites are alike. Each has its own distinct colour hues, layout and character. Yet all suites offer space and the finest in comfort and conveniences. Suites are 500 sqft (45 Sq mtrs) on average and go up to to 1,000 sq ft (90 sq mtrs) in space. What makes our Suites uniquely different is our very distinct designer style, since every piece of furniture, dcor, fabric and lighting has been custom designed by the hotels founder Lalin Jinasena. Contrary to common practice of sourcing furniture from around the world, ours were made to our design in Sri Lanka. Therefore the exclusive style of Casa Colombo cannot be seen or found anywhere else in the world. There are 3 categories of suites: 3 Leisure Suites, 8 Corporate Suites and 1 Royal Suite. All suites comes with a 29 inch LCD TV by Nakamitchi, which can be watched from the bed or the living room. A High Fidelity sound system by Nakamitchi and movies on an Apple Ipod are some of the mod cons. A music selector designed by Lalin is also available which plays 6 genres of music from around the world and allows you to set the tunes to your mood.

Under the inventory section, this is the linked room type functionality. This allows you to link premium rooms to a base room type. Allows hotels to manage only one room type Should only be used by hotels that have consistent room type pricing across all seasons. Hotels that change the increments between room types on a regular basis or by season should not use this functionality.
o Create no more than six room types On your website, too many room types can confuse the
customer and potentially devalue the offering. Further, with more room types, the customer must scroll down to see all of them. Many customers wont do this and may miss room types they would have bought. Simple, clear room types that promote the value of the offering simplify the process. (Please add additional documents as needed)
o Choose room types based on perceived value and desired features that sell - Size, View and the
number of rooms speak to a customer regarding the value of your room. Room features such as bedding or smoking preference do not speak to the value of the room. If the agent or the direct consumer can see the value from your words, they will buy up.
o Create and load meaningful descriptions to your rooms Properly defined room descriptions convey
the value of your rooms. When travel agents and consumers can visualize the value of your property because of your description they are more likely to BUY your room.
o Sequence your room types Use the sequencing functionality to sequence your rooms from lowest
class to highest class. This combined with logical price points for each of your room types will tell the story of your product to agents and consumers and allow them to understand the value of your products.
o Pictures, Pictures, Pictures Quality pictures emphasize the value that your property offers. Load
them on your web site for each room type that you offer. A picture is worth a 1,000 words to web customers. iStay clients can display up to 6 images per room type. Your Implementation Manager will discuss image requirements directly to you.
o Load Inventory for 365 days (AT LEAST) Allowing a guest to reserve well in advance means fewer
denials which means more revenue. Rates and Inventory in iHotelier can be managed 5 years in advance. This will allow you to adjust for high or low periods in expected future demand.

Under the rate section, this is the linked rate functionality. This allows you to link multiple rates to your BAR rate. Allows hotels to manage multiple rates at one time. o Best Available Rate This should be your daily rate. There should be no rate that is lower unless it is
qualified or fenced in some fashion.
o AAA/CAA/AARP - Specifically properties in North, Latin, Central & South America although cities in
Europe, Asia and other Pacific Rim areas should consider loading if they have a higher concentration of US based travel. These rates do not have to be loaded as a discount and can be linked to your BAR rate for ease of management.
o Corporate Rate This is especially important for GDS hotels as this is a searchable rate type that agents
can use. If you dont have this rate type loaded, you will not return on qualified searches (it is the number 1 qualified search in Sabre). The less you return the less you will be booked. This rate does not need to offer a discount and can be linked to your BAR rate for ease of management.
o Negotiated Rates These are also especially important for GDS customers although having then
available for your booking engine is equally important. Most travel agents will not call a hotel to book a rate. They will simply book another hotel that has the negotiated rate available. TravelCLICK can load your negotiated rates that are booked by travel agents so that only those agents can see and book them.
o Packages When available, you should have packages available on both GDS & Web. For the GDS,
your packages should be simpler and more easily defined as a value. For your web booking engine, you will have more space available to describe your packages. Therefore, on your website, you will be able to have more dramatic and descriptive packages.

o Set BAR as your web default rate for your booking engine This should be the lowest, unqualified
rate available at your hotel. By setting it as the default rate on your web site, you simplify the rate offering to the customer. This combined with inventory best practices present an optimal booking scenario for customers to view your best rate and inventory.
o Price your premium room types to sell Dont overprice your premium rooms only to give them away
when the guest checks in. By pricing your suites to what the market will bear, you are more likely to up sell the room type rather than upgrade. Logical pricing can make your premium rooms revenue generators.
o Load all room types against your BAR rates (including your suites) - This is the most commonly
booked unqualified rate. Give agents and direct consumers the opportunity to sell or buy your entire product offering. When given the opportunity to up sell, they will when they can justify the additional spend. Selling premium product means more money for the agent and more money for your property.
o Sequence your rate plans for display - The recommended order: (1) BAR, (2) Discount, (3) Package.
Sequence the room types in your PMS and in iHotelier. Use best practices to sequence the room types. This will ensure that the right room type and price is displayed in the right order on a search screen.
o Dont let negotiated rates expire For your most valued customers, extend their rates three months
into the New Year to allow for delays in contracts. This will allow them to continue booking your hotel until a new rate is agreed upon. This will prevent them potentially discovering a new hotel because you didnt have a rate available.
o Load rates for 365 days (AT LEAST) - Allowing a guest to reserve well in advance means fewer denials
which means more revenue. Rates and Inventory in iHotelier can be managed 5 years in advance. This will allow you to adjust for high or low periods in expected future demand.
o Use the flexibility of iHotelier to your advantage - Use linked rates to make special rate plans (e.g.
AAA, other associations with qualified best rate) follow your BAR variations. This way you save time because you only have to manage one rate.

PAYMENTS All payments to the Hotel shall be by cheque drawn in favor of CASA Colombo (Pvt) Ltd prior to guests arrival.
