5S IN CLASSROOM
Introduction
5S represents 5 disciplines for maintaining a visual workplace (visual controls and information systems). These are foundational to Kaizen (continuous improvement) and a manufacturing strategy based "Lean Manufacturing" (waste removing) concepts.5S is one of the activities that will help ensure our companys survival.

Sort - All unneeded tools, parts and supplies are removed from the area. Set in Order - A place for everything and everything is in its place. Shine - The area is cleaned as the work is performed.

Standardize - Cleaning and identification methods are consistently applied. Sustain - 5S is a habit and is continually improved.

Also - Work areas are safe and free of hazardous or dangerous conditions.

BEFORE 5S No sort There are excess number of chairs and tables. They should be removed.

Boards are not cleaned properly. It should be cleaned properly and maintained.

No label No labels provided for switches. It should be labled for easy idendification.

AFTER 5S

Sort Excess chairs and tables removed from class.

Set in order Chairs and tables arranged in order and places allocated.

Shine Unwanted materials removed and everthing get cleaned.

Label Switches are labelled according to their connections.

CONCLUSION Thus 5s implemented in classroom and it will be sustained. It provides pleasant environment for students and teachers.

However 5S implementation doesnt matter, its the matter to sustain throughout entire life time.
