King Street Honolulu, HI 96813 RE: Complaint filed with Office of Disciplinary Counsel The Honorable Chief Justice: At the suggestion of Evelyn Gomez of the Hawaii State Bar Association, I am forwarding the attached documents. As you will see, I am challenging what appears to be a premature and less than thorough investigation of my complaint against Attorney Richard Diehl filed with the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. It is my hope by this matter being brought to your attention the attached documents will be examined more objectively rather than the perfunctory manner in which my initial complaint appears to have been addressed. Based on inaccuracies and inconsistencies reflected in the ODC response, names that are not relevant to my Complaint , to wit Mrs. Graham who is an unknown person to our matter, lead me to believe that a less than thorough examination of my Complaint was conducted. Other discrepancies as reflected in the attached Complaint will support our allegations that Attorney Diehl colluded with the opposing attorneys and the attorneys representing the Bank of Hawaii. The attachments referred to in the initial Complaint are currently in the custody of Ms. Hunt at the Office of Disciplinary Counsel. Repeated telephone requests directed to the Office of Disciplinary Counsel have been made during the last several weeks asking them to return the aforementioned attachments to me. For reasons known only to the ODC they have not returned the documents nor returned my telephone calls. In keeping with Ms. Gomezs suggestion of forwarding this matter to your office, please advise of any subsequent action that can be taken on my part that would help to bring this matter to a reasonable and successful conclusion.
