As per RK Sir, do only those things that he has taught in the class. The ones in brackets are necessary from exam point of view. DSP : Proakis 2nd Edition Ch 4: 4.5.3-4.5.5 (Do complete) Ch 6: 6.3 (Just try and understand the derivation and applications of both) Ch 7: 7.2.4, 7.3 (remember the formulas from exam point of view), 7.6 Ch 10 : 10.1 - 10.6 , 10.9.1- 10.9.6 (Do derivations, polyphase filter structure and QMFs, also do Applications for short note) Ch 11: This is a tough nut to crack. But do the 3-4 examples of Levison Durbin and Schur given in Haye's notes. For wiener filter refer to page 334-366 of Hayes. Do the FIR part from Hayes and for IIR just do the part from Proakis (its all formulas for IIR) Even if its difficult to understand then do the examples problems given in Hayes and Proakis examples. Ch 12: 12.5.1- 12.5.2 (MUSIC, ESPIRIT for short notes) Digital Image Processing Book: A.K. Jain Ch 5: Complete (5.1, 5.2, Walsh, Hadamard, Haar, Cosine, Sine) (KL for short notes) Ch 7: Ch 3 of Digital Image Processing 2nd Edition by Gonzales will help understand better and is simple in language (Histogram and Median, Image averaging filter are very important rest all can come) Ch 8: 8.1-8.4 Also do the Image Registeration and constrained and non constrained restoration topics taught by sir Please consider this as just an estimate and not the actual course.
