THE SON WAS SENT BY THE FATHER:

Now this is eternal life, that they should know you, the only true God, and the one whom you sent, Jesus Christ. John 17:3 In this way the love of God was revealed to us: God sent his only Son into the world so that we might have life through him. In this is love: not that we have loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as expiation for our sins. 1John 4:9-10

THE SON WAS ANOINTED BY THE SPIRIT:

Jesus is called THE CHRIST because he was anointed by Spirit to perform a mission:

He stood up to read and was handed a scroll of the prophet Isaiah. He unrolled the scroll and found the passage where it was written: "The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to bring glad tidings to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to let the oppressed go free, and to proclaim a year acceptable to the Lord." Luke 4:17-19

JESUS CHRIST only had ONE MISSION: THE SALVATION OF THE WORLD. This Mission is threefold, for in accomplishing the salvation of the world, Jesus assumed the role of PRIEST, PROPHET, and KING. Hence the threefold mission of Christ: THE PRIESTLY MISSION THE PROPHETIC MISSION THE KINGLY MISSION

As priest, Jesus was THE MEDIATOR between God and man. His life was characterized by holiness and prayer. He offered the sacrifice of himself for the sake of the forgiveness of sins.

Jesus was the Fathers MESSENGER who proclaimed the Good News of the Kingdom.

Jesus preached the Word of God both through his words and through his example.
Like any other prophet, he was persecuted for proclaiming the TRUTH. There were instances that he predicted future events.

Jesus kingship was manifested not through domination but through selfless service to others. Jesus founded the Church, which is the image of the Kingdom of God.
