After done this lab, there are a lot of knowledge that I get.

In this lab, I knew new map that introduce to us. It is nautical chart. Then there is one new digital map used by navigator which called ECDIS. I also can differentiate between topographical map and nautical chart.
Topographical map used as a reference guide and a detailed

graphic representation of geographic information. Topographical map is a type of map shows both natural and man-made features. Topographical map is also showing contour lines that represent elevation on a topographic map. Topogrphical map used Malaysian Rectified Skew
Orthomorphic (MRSO) projection.

For nautical chart is a graphic representation of a maritime area. Nautical chart shows depths of water , natural features of the seabed, details of the coastline, navigational hazards, locations of natural and man-made such as lights and bridges. Nautical charts are essential tools for marine navigation. Otherwise, nautical chart used Mercator projection. An Electronic Chart Display and Information System (ECDIS) is a computer-based navigation information system that complies with International Maritime Organization (IMO) regulations and can be used as an alternative to paper nautical charts. An ECDIS system displays the information from electronic navigational charts (ENC) and integrates position information from the Global Positioning System (GPS) and other navigational sensors, such as radar and automatic identification systems (AIS). It may also display additional navigationrelated information, such as sailing direction. This ECDIS gives the easy navigation work to navigator to know position of ship and the direction. It also give a lot of maritime information. It is suitable with this time which we used sophisticated equipment. It also we made work fast.
