How the World Works


Understanding the scientific process can lead to discovery and innovation
Dear Year 6 EAL Parents, The second Unit of Inquiry in Year 6 is an investigation into How the scientific process works, How the scientific process ensures reliability How reliable discoveries lead to further innovation

This will be a hands-on unit where the students will be conducting a variety of scientific investigations and experiments following the scientific process. The students will learn to write reports based on observations made. The focus in Language Arts and EAL will be on non-fiction texts. We will be developing our critical reading skills by identifying the features of non-fiction texts and learning important strategies such as skimming, and scanning.
