    VW Passat B5 Service Light Reset Procedure. With ignition switched OFF, press and hold down Trip-Meter reset button. While holding down reset button, switch ignition ON. Release reset button, and twist clock adjust button to the right (minutes adjust) position. Hold in this position until 'SERVICE NOW' disappears from the display. Repeat procedure if first attempt is unsuccessful.

Release reset button, & twist clock adjust button to the right (minutes adjust) position. Hold in this position until SERVICE NOW disappears from the display. (--- should now appear instead) Repeat procedure if first attempt is unsuccessful.

    SWITCH OFF IGNITION PROCEEDURE COMPLETE !
