Unit of Inquiry Continue to explore similarities and differences between families around the world through discussions, stories, pictures, dvds What can we learn from our family members? Discuss and compare what we can learn from different family members Look at photographs of families and respond to them
Questions to explore: Math Language

Create 2D shape mobiles Explore the features of 2D shapes Continue to explore number recognition, quantities to 20, sequencing numbers, estimating sets of objects to 10 Practice writing numbers correctly

Discuss and list reading strategies (what do you do when stuck on a word) (eg. look at the picture and the first letter of the word, read the rest of the sentence) Continue rhyming games Create CVC words Use capital letters and full stops when writing sentences
