The week ahead

People use language and arts to celebrate their culture and traditions.
Unit of Inquiry This week we will continue to investigate a variety of world celebrations. The children will be researching and working in groups to find out key information to share. Language Arts This week we shall look at shape and haiku poetry. Students will use adjectives to paint a picture with words to describe different colours and broaden their knowledge of syllables. Students will also complete comprehension activities about weddings around the world. Maths We shall continue to solve addition and subtraction problems and develop students understanding of place value. We will also introduce Venn Diagrams to sort objects and information.

Reminder that grade 2 students will be brought to the shaded area by the MYP dining hall on the pitch side at the end of the day to meet parents. Each class has its own labelled play house that they will wait for parents.
