AAA highlights Release of New Global Investor Sentiment Survey The release of the latest Colliers International 2011

Global Investor Sentiment Survey (GISS) is being highlighted by Alternative Asset Analysis (AAA) as provid ing a useful insight into the real estate investment market. Boston, MA, October 15, 2011 -- The release of the latest Colliers International 2011 Global Investor Sentiment Survey (GISS) is being highlighted by Alternativ e Asset Analysis (AAA) as providing a useful insight into the real estate invest ment market. AAA is a research and analysis organization that advocates investment in alterna tive asset classes with emphasis on ethical investments such as impact investing and sustainable forestry investment. It claimed the results of the GISS were po sitive for the alternative investment market, not least because 57 per cent of t he respondents said their appetite for risk had not increased since the beginnin g of 2011. This suggests that these investors will continue to opt for less risky alternativ es, such as real estate, over stocks and shares and other traditional investment s more closely correlated with economic performance, stated AAAs analysis partner, Anthony Johnson. Some 71 per cent of the respondents said that they would be looking to invest in more real estate, but many were concerned that there may be a lack of property for sale to allow them to fulfill their investment goals. Colliers Internationals head of international investment, Ewen Hill, said, Given t he continued aversion to risk and the recent investment trends in Europe, we con tinue to see investors demonstrating a strong preference for acquiring offices i n London and Paris; closely followed by German retail property in general and of fices in Hamburg. AAA was keen to add that forestry investment is another extremely popular option among risk-averse investors at the moment. Those putting their money towards su stainable forestry plantations, such as those managed in Brazil by Greenwood Man agement, can rest assured they are helping to safeguard the future of forestry f or generations to come while helping to reduce deforestation, claimed AAA. Investing in forestry in developing countries is both socially and environmentall y responsible," added Mr Johnson.
