Pan-American Advanced Studies Institute

To whomever it may concern

As a professor in the Escuela de Fsica, Universidad de Costa Rica, I have known the student

Toms Rojas for the last 3 years. He took the Solid State course which I teach as an undergraduate. Also he worked under my supervision as an assistant in the Thin Films Laboratory in the Materials Research Center of our University (ClClMA). ln both conditions he showed dedication to the physics and responsibility to complete the assigned tasks.

Currently he is enrolled in the physics master's program and is planning to do his theses work
in the Materials Science y our laboratory. We are exploring the possibility of doing

experimental work in optical and electrical properties of graphene films. It is my opinion the attending the
PASI

will be an enriching experience for Mr. Rojas as
