A Seminar on Modern Beauty Perception and Satisfaction

Proposed Speakers:

1. A Dermatologist

- He/She is expected to render information as to the necessity of skin care in

maintaining health and of feeling beautiful. Moreover, he/she will be discussing about
the normal frequency a person should go to skin care clinic, and explain as to why
some managed to go frequently than what is required. He/she may also discuss what
skin care services are available that people may try to feel good about themselves,
and free tips for those who cannot afford a regular skin care service. As an option,
he/she may render opinion as to how the trend can affect the person’s view about
being beautiful and his/her satisfaction to beauty products or services.

2. A Psychologist

- She will elucidate on the explanation behind the drive to keep self beautiful despite
the economic situation or the unnecessary need to go frequently for skin service (of
which some termed these clients as obsessive or “problematic”). On the
psychological side, she will be tackling the different perception of people as to what
makes self beautiful and how others perceive him/her as beautiful, and how these
factors affect his/her decision in the satisfaction for beauty maintenance and
enhancements. On the sociological side, she will elaborate on the reasons how the
trend can affect a person’s perception of physical beauty and how the choice of
beauty product or services can affect his/her satisfaction.

Proposed Venue: Lady M Convention Center and Restobar

Bryant Street, Kidapawan City

Proposed Participants: North Valley College Foundation, Inc. (NVCFI) students from PD
(Personality Development) class. We keep a maximum of 120 participants.

Proposed Invitation: Invitation will be given personally a week before the seminar to the
respective advisers, faculty members, student participants, and resource speakers.
