    WCF (Windows Communication Foundation) is Microsoft's framework for building connected, service-oriented applications. It allows services to expose functionality through a variety of endpoints and protocols, supports legacy services, and uses ABCs - Address, Binding, and Contract - to define services. WCF applications can be hosted in Windows Services, dedicated applications, or IIS, and tools like WCF Test Client and SoapUI can be used for testing.
