GRADE LEVEL: 2

Stem- holds up the leaves and owers and carries food and water around the plant. Leaves- use the sun and air to make food for the plant. The Flower on the plant helps to make seeds and fruit. What is a ower? A ower is the blossoming part of a plant. Flowers make seeds for the plant. A plant known for its blossoms is also called a ower. Plants and owers grow almost everywhere. They grow in the forest, meadows, and oceans and even in the deserts. What kind of plants do we see in the desert? Cactus. Plants need sunlight and water to grow; the plants use them to make food.

3.) Grow a plant As a group, use cut outs of different parts of a plant and construct our own plant on poster board then, label the different parts and their function. Label the parts and their functions 4.) Activity sheet Color the parts of the ower and cut out, glue onto the construction paper ;label the parts.
