The Social Environment is

the set of identical or similar social positions and social roles as a whole that influence the functioning of business organisations. The Social Environment influences the organisations from the inside by shaping their attitudes, values and conduct. The Social Environment influences organisations from the outside by shaping the nature of consumer behavior.

basic component of the society. A persons choices and decisions are influenced by his family culture. A business organisation must analyse the family values prevalent in the society.

Educational

Institutions impart knowledge, values and influence a persons thinking. They may endorse or oppose ideas, which influence market demand of various products.

Different religions

have different principles, rules and regulations. Thus, religions influence market demand for certain goods and services. Festivals also play a part in affecting demand.
