com To Sara Piazzano Chief of Party Actions for Combating Trafficking in Persons (ACT) Program Winrock International House#2 (2nd Floor), Road#23/A Gulshan - 1, Dhaka 1212 Subject: Applying for the Internship Program Dear Sir

August 14, 2011

This is my great opportunity to write to you expressing my interest to obtain a position for the internship program you are offering on your Actions for Combating Trafficking in Persons (ACT) Program. Being a student, I have been able to know about this opportunity through the Career and Professional Development Services (CPDS) Department of North South University which is situated at Bashundhara in Dhaka city. The primary reason for my interest in this internship program is to learn by experiencing a professional working environment through both observations, participation in your regular official process and get involved in field activities. Moreover, an enthusiasm for improving my situational analytical ability by going through challenges, both formal and informal, has motivated me to seek a position as an intern in your organization. I would like to inform you that I am a student of B.B.A program of North South University and my major subject is International Business. I have already completed all the required academic courses and now looking forward for an internship which is also mandatory for degree requirement. So far, I have been able to maintain a CGPA of 3.50. In response to your internship opportunity program I would like to mention that during my graduation I have done sociology, statistics for business and economics, micro and macro economics and legal environment of business. My motivation for working with NGOs comes from the knowledge and judgment that I have got form my major, International Business, which emphasizes on direct communication with people. The understanding of problems which includes identification, justification and finally recommendation of the best solution can best be learned by involving in an environment where frequent interaction with various people, knowing their culture and how their motivation comes for a specific action and finally an opportunity to deal with these stuffs are possible. A NGO operating in the development sector can offer such an environment where all these things come along with the job. My personal preference and motivation also drive me to engage in community based services. I have the skill, concentration, direct focus and personal competence along with a good communication skill required for this task which I have already proved through my role as an Undergraduate Teaching Assistant and Lab Support Assistant at my university. Besides, my experience as a Survey Assistant and Data Analyzer at Future Leaders, Bangladesh will help me cope up with the challenges I will face. Finally, I would like to thank you for your kind attention with an expectation that I will get an opportunity to actively participate in your internship program and gather experiences that will help me in my professional career in future. Sincerely
