Procedure TeacherPreparation: Priortoimplementingthislesson,teacherwillresearchtheworkofWilliamKentridge,chooseessentialworksofartto useasmotivationalmaterials,developcriticaldiscussionquestionsandtalkingpoints,andcreateasampleproject outcomeandrehearsehowtodoademonstrationfortheproject Forthefirstdayofclass,teacherwillsetuptechnologytoensuremotivationalactivitieswillrunsmoothly Day1: TeacherwillengagestudentsinmotivationalintroductiontoWilliamKentridgethroughviewinganddiscussionof imagesandanimations(35min) Teacherwillexplainprojectcriteriaandexpectations(10min) Day2: Studentswillworkinpairstoengageinresearchaboutnatural/manmadedisastersthatwillserveassubjectmatterfor theirprojects(45min) Day3: Studentswillengageindiscussionaboutpreviousdaysresearchtosharetheirchosensubjectmatter,whytheychose it,andwhattheeffectsofthedisasterwereonthepeopleandnaturalresourcesoftheenvironmentitaffected(45min).
