This picture shows an example of what our target audience would look like.
We used Todorovs and Barthes theories to help us see what elements we could include in our production that would appeal, attract and interest our target audience. A popular place that our target audience goes to is the cinema so we thought by having our production played in cinemas it would reach a large proportion of our target audience, it would be shown on adverts from other films encouraging their viewers to come to watch our production and would eventually then be shown on programmes such as sky movies. This would hopefully make our production popular and then eventually could be sold in shops like HMV which is a popular shop for many teenagers. From our pre questionnaire we found out that our target audience preferred females to have the main role in thriller films so we felt confident about our production as a female take on our lead role. Our use of Mise-en-scene will attract our target audience as our main character in our production dresses in the way most of our target audience would dress and the setting is set in a place many of our target audience could relate to; a school. Also our use of score music helps to engage our target audience as our mysterious music shows we are building up for something to happen, keeping the audience wondering in anticipation what will happen.
