    RRI is the Transmission card in Ultrasite BTS.

    one RRI cards can Support Two FB (Flex Bus) ports and each FB ports can Support up to 16 E1 individually. One ultrasite BTS can Support upto four RRI cards so that eight MW links can be stablished in 1+0 mode or four Links can be stablished in 1+1 hot standby mode. BOIA is the controller card of the Ultrasite BTS BB2F is used for multiplexing and connecting BOIA card with the transciever.it i s also used for frequency hopping. Bit Error Rate (BER) A ratio of the number of errors to data bits received on a digital circuit. BER is usually expressed in exponential form. Frame Erasure/Error Rate (FER) A measure of the number of frames of data that co ntained errors and could not be processed. FER is usually expressed as a percent age or exponent. The purpose of ciphering id to encode the transmitted burst so that it cannot be hacked or tapped by any other device before reaching the receiver. The algorith m used for ciphering is the A5 algorithm
