Open a new design from the file drop-menu in the top panel (left) and specify it to be a design file:

Then from the top right corner, choose one of the libraries (e.g. Simulation Gates):

If you click on any part from the library (on the right panel) you will see a preview of the part on the top right. Make sure you enable the preview by checking the check box: Now double click on any part you want and drop it in the drawing window (each single click will drop a copy of the part): Large parts (adders, MUXs, Flip Flops, registers, Counters) are found in the Simulation Logic library. Simulation IO library for input/output devices such as binary switch, binary probes, Hex keyboard, Hex Display, Clock source etc.) To display any signal in the simulation window, give it a lable (right click on the signal wire name)

signal traces Cntrl-F will re-start the simulations. Also several signals can be combined in the simulation window (then you ll get their Hex equivalent instead of binary value for individual signals very usefull for multi-bit signals). Using buses (bundle of signals) and bus-breakout, one can connect multi-bit signals more conveniently. Cntrl-B for bus breakout ... multi-bit signals are named as A0..7, B0..7 and so on. Each part has attributes, including delay that can be edited by right-clicking on it.
