Stratal units facies architecture of Subang Formation well exposed crop out across Cikandung-Sumedang and Cipunagara-Subang River that part of the eastern Bogor Trough which has been established since Middle Eosen and Oligocene-Miocene with sediment deposited from South-North direction (Soedjono, 1984). These Subang Formation characterized by very thin to medium thick interbedded sandstone and mudstone, some regular, parallel-side and with sharp contacts, others lenticular and abundant of soles display. A numerous sedimentary structures accomplish the architectural elements such as swaly cross-stratified, hummocky cross-stratification, slump structures, sole markings, convolute bedding, planar lamination, symmetrical ripple, flasher bedding and also ichnofacies association. The exposure field was observed in both as a reservoir and outcrop analogues. This paper based on field geological mapping and focused on outcrops constellation also influential deposit, Citalang and Kaliwangu Formation. The field study of paleocurrent recorded from directional sedimentary structures. Data collected by composite stratigraphic section, sedimentological field description, geometrical sediment body and paleontological analysis. The purpose of this study is to determine an investigation of sedimentary trends as a clues to the provenance of sediment supply and depositional boundary. Paleocurrent analysis provides sedimentary system and paleogeography. This fieldwork result defined eight sedimentary facies that can be divided into four facies associations. Based on vertical relationships among lithofacies, suggested several depositional zones; a) upper shoreline, b) tidal zone, c) lower shoreline, and d) transitional nearshore-offshore. The overall of stratigraphic record of Subang Formation is in range of shelf and shoreface environment by storm generated wave-modified turbidity current mechanism.
