What is PLC Control Panel? Programmable controller is a digital computer used for automation (automatic process) of electromechanical processes, such as control of machineries. Typical Control Panel operates such as receives input signals from the equipment being controlled, processes this information using the rules entered into the program and then controls outputs that operate equipment. This system will usually have a Controller, Input/output modules, Communication setup etc. These Control systems are housed in a cabinet Enclosure called Control Panels. Control Panels are generally made of sheet steel. Mechanical protection and ingress protection are considered for designing a control panel. Most of the times, Control Panel will have alarm indication both visual and audible. The operators will have provision to shut down the control system, if situation warrants for shutting down the control system. Electrical power provided in the control panels will have different levels for different applications. Control Panel Inspection activities include visual inspection, Cabinet Enclosure Check, General Arrangement Check, Mechanical Functions Check, Electrical Checks and Functional Checks.
