These verses are listed here for two reasons: (a) to indicate the 'verses of pro stration' according

to the Hanafi school... and (b) to facilitate for the reader the recommendation of Imam Nasafi and others, mentioned by Imam Shurunbulali, n amely, "If one recites all [fourteen] verses of prostration in one sitting, and performs a seperate prostration for each verse, then Allah ost High will take ca re of all his worries [in both this life and the next]." Imams Shurunbulali and Ibn 'Abidin state that one should take heed and have fervent aspiration to learn and teach this practice. Man imams, including Kamal ibn al-Humam, have transmit ted this advice in their commentaries. Imam Tahtawi maintains that is is more pr eferable to prostrate for each verse immediately after its recitation, although one could also perform all fourteen prostrations after having recited all fourte en verses, which seems closer to Imam Nasafi's statement; in any case, neither w ay is deemed disliked (see Maraqi 'l-Falah, Tahtawi 2:110-11; Hadiyya 135; Durr, Radd 1:523-4).
