POSSESSIVE PRONOUNS AND ADJECTIVES

Possessives show ownership. The adjectives come before nouns, while the pronouns stand alone. Look at the forms for each. PRONOUNS** mine yours his hers ours yours theirs ADJECTIVES my your his her our your their

**These forms do NOT use S like other possessives do. Look at how the forms change as you move from adjective to pronoun. I have a car. You wrote a report. They live in a house. I have my car. You wrote your report. They live in their house. I have mine. You wrote yours. They live in theirs.
