This presentation mainly introduced version loading and upgrading method and operation steps of BTS3703.
In the second chapter, we mainly introduced data configuration online step by step, which include R1 interface and R6 interface.
In the third chapter, we discuss some trouble shouting method for the test acceptance and debugging, which could be a guide for the field engineers.

In order to do the troubleshooting, it is important to configure system time and time zone correctly.
[himax]clock timezone name (add/minus) offset Nam indicates the time zone name and contains 1 to 32 characters. [add/minus] is used to distinguish between east and west time zones. offset is the time zone offset. Eg:Set the time zone to east eight zones. [himax]clock timezone Beijing add 08:00

Configuration items of the system clock include the reference clock source, working mode (phase locked or phase unlocked), and initial DA value.
[himax] set sysclk-type 0 0-3 Values 0 through 3 represent gps-0, gps-1,gps2 and localsrc. GPS0----built-in GPS port, GPS1----output GPS port, GPS2-input GPS port that corresponds to port 1 pp0.
[himax] set sysclk-mode 0 0:manual,the system starts to trace the clock source you have configured 1:free,the clock source does not function.
Notes: It is not suggested to change the DA value. It has the default value. You can query it first and decide whether to change it or not.

3. modifying the information of uplink and downlink zones of the sector, and the parameters of BS mobility
The carrier to be modified must exist Parameters of a carrier can be modified only when the carrier is deactivated.

Step4:Configure BS Information
1.BS ID OperatorID (the most significant 24 bits)+ SectorID (the least significant 24 bits)
Pay attention that the operator ID should not be changed, and the site ID is planned by the telecom operator, so the IDCELL is usually changed For example: modify operator ID of carrier 0

Step5:Configure GW ID

1.Static Route
There is a few routers between BBU and ASN-GW. For example DstIpAddr SubnetMask NextHopAddr 7.7.7.7 255.255.255.255 192.168.8.6
DstIpAddr: Destination IP address (The IP address of SPU board in ASN-GW) NextHopAddr: The IP address of next hop (Device connected with BS GE port)
HUAWEI Confidential
Page 40
2.Route of ASN-GW
For Example:
GatewayIp 7.7.7.7 NextHopIp 192.168.8.6
GatewayIp is the IP address of the SPU of the ASN-GW NextHopIp depends on the networking mode. It can be identical with the IP address of the LPU that is connected with the BBU, but it must be different from GatewayIp. If the BBU connects with the ASN-GW through a router, NextHopIp is IP address of the router .

Network Management configuration is to configure M2000 information at the BTS side. 1. Configure community names
For Example:To configure the SNMP community names for reading and writing, run the following commands in system view and the community name is pubv1.
[himax]snmp-agent start [himax]snmp-agent community read pubv1 [himax]snmp-agent community write pubv1
HUAWEI Confidential
Page 42
For Example:10.121.71.220 is the IP address of the M2000 server, 162 is the fixed port number, pubv1 is the community name, and v2c is the version number.
[himax]snmp-agent target-host notification trap address udp-domain 10.121.71.220 udp-port 162 params security name pubv1 v2c
After configuring community names and trap-based subscription, please return to common mode and run save command to keep it in effect.

Page 43
If the BTS and the GW is not in the same TCP/IP network, the routing information should be configured. For Example:10.121.71.220 is the IP address of the M2000 server, and the next hop IP address is 192.168.80.200.

Step8:Activate Carrier
[himax-if-air]display carrier-status carrier-id 0 Carrier id : 0 Activate Flag : yes carrier resource state : enable Operational state : enable
Activate carrier 0
[himax-if-air] act-carrier carrier-id 0
Activate Successfully when Operational_state is enable. Only after Operational_state is enable, can MS access the network.
