Build Process:

We need to have access to the following software for creating and building build (To maintain the versions of your Project source code you need to have)-Access to Team Foundation Server (MSTFS) and Teamprise Explorer in your Local Machine or Citrix Box.

Before sending the request to the Shared services Team, the Team lead of the requesting project Team will check-in code files and then check-out in Dev Environment.

The Shared services Team (EIM-TCoE-Shared-Services) will receive the request from project team to create builds for Stage and Production environment deployments on Dev\SBE teams requests with all the details provided in the Template sheet.

Based on the project team requirements, we will either use branch(this option will create a new folder with all files same as the source folder) or merge option(this option will copy the missing files to target when compared to source ) in the MSTFS to deploy the files in the respective environment (Either Stage or Production )

After the files have been deployed in the Destination environment, we will queue the build using the following command p: FilesToDeploy. (Ex: p: FilesToDeploy="adw022040j.dsx, adw022042j.dsx")

After clicking Queue button, it will start queue process. After it is successful then the Queue will show succeeded and available in Completed tab.

After successful right click on that name and select open Drop Folder. It will open one window with your build definition name. This window should contain Deployable folder and BuildLog.txt file. If anything is missed in that, means creation of build (Queue) is wrong.

Copy the build name and send it to the requestor.
