A Famous British Department Store Arrives In Pakistan !!!


A couple of years back many British brands like Next , Mothercare , Accessories and Monsoon enters in Pakistan for availing new opportunities and setting new trends in a Pakistani market, And opened their stores in metropolitan cities of Pakistan . So, The UK-based department store Debenhams also arrives in Pakistani market to avail this opportunity and ready to introduce new varieties of UK brands.

About Debenhams
It was founded in the 18th century as a single store in London. It has over 167 stores across the UK and Ireland and about 65 international franchise stores in 25 countries including Europe, the Middle East & Asia. Now in Pakistan too. The store of Debenhams will be opened in April this year at Dolmen City Mall in Karachi with plans to open five more stores nationwide. The department store has an wide range of mens, womens, and childrens apparel, footwear, accessories, cosmetics, home ware and sport goods.

Why ? Pakistan
It sounds crazy that why Debenhams as an multinational company is investing in Pakistan even after knowing the unstable economical and political conditions prevailing here. At the other side Pakistani local companies wanted to move outside of Pakistan to those countries which are developed and stable economically and politically too.

Reasons to choose Pakistan


1. The UK ministers focused on the promotion of Pakistan as a good place for British business to invest. 2. UK govt.s commitment is to build on the bilateral trade relationship between both the countries, encouraging more British companies to consider Pakistan as an investment destination Lord Green, Minister of State for Trade and Investment U.K. 3. Baroness Sayeeda Warsi, Cabinet Minister U.K. said that UK retail companies are up there to invest and create more jobs in Pakistan. 4. And Debenhams will join other UK brands like Next , Mothercare , Accessories and Monsoon who already targeting the countrys emerging urban and middle class .

5. At the Press Conference of Debenhams in Karachis harbor, the UK people dubbed Pakistan as a relatively untapped market and said Pakistan has the potential to be the primary target for all British brands who want to benefit from it
