Looking at the Economy Through Women s Eyes Course 2012


y What is the economy? y How is the current crisis affecting women s lives women s roles in the community, the home and the work-place? y What kinds of work paid and unpaid do women tend to do and why? y What are the connections between women in Ireland and women in countries of the global South?

This course will take place over 4 full days: y Friday 24th February: Women, care and the economy y Friday 2nd March: Economic growth and wellbeing th y Friday 9 March: Going global: introduction to two sides of globalisation - consumers and producers y Friday 23rd March: Women s economic human rights

This course is run by Banlacht Women in Ireland in Global Solidarity.
