Before arrival of patient GA nurse should prepare: 1 Cleaning Procedure

- Induction room, damp dust all flat surface, horizontal surface, machine, trolleys in order to provide a dust free environment as dust may habaur microorganisma. 2. Check patient according to checklist type of operation and type of anesthesia, eg: general anesthesia or regional anesthesia 3. Checking of all required GA machine and equipment: - check of GA machine, fill up the appropriate volatine agent required.

- Checking functioning order of GA machine, O2,

nitrous oxide must be available. - Checking circuit, prepare and get ready the required circuit. - All the required connector for the circuit. - Sodaline absorber checked for colour change in the granule.

4. Getting ready the anesthetics equipment and check the functioning:-

- Oral or nasal airway. - Laryngoscope , appropriate 3 size, blade, light is tested and brightness. - ETT 3 size- checked the cuff and make sure no leakage. 5. K-y jelly for lubricant , connector , guide wire , magil forceps , other equipment head support , arm board , warming blanket. 6.Drugs induction agent , muscle relaxant , reversal , sedation.

7.During asssisting - always be around to reassure patient and anticipate needs of anesthetist. - help positioning patient , care of iv infusion line and the hand. - get ready suction apparatus ,if patient condition and monitor vital sign. - pass required equipment of intubation. - help monitor patient condition and monitor vital sign.

- help to anchor ETT tube,connect to circuit and securely. - help to manual ventilate the patient after intubation. - clear all equipment when everything is settle. - continue to monitor patient. - any abnormal change in vital sign reading , alert the anesthetist immediately.
